The Prince of Pain

When you see the tears in their eyes
You’ll know he’s there
Apparent as light
No disguise
Just gaze at him
& the tears will fill your eyes

Hail for the prince
Hail for the prince of pain
Eternal he is
To try to be more or less
Acquainted with him
Would be a mere act of lunacy

A mortal he was one day
Believe me just human like you & me
But what his eyes have seen
He wished that blind he’d been

Hail for the prince
Hail for the prince of pain
On his throne
A life of his own was never meant to be
Hail for a life lost in vain
All is gone
Whats left is pain

As the years passed him by
He met the love of his life
But what do you expect from this young prince to be ?
He lost his love in a tragedy

Hail for the prince
Hail for the prince of pain
On his throne
A life of his own was never meant to be
Hail for a life lost in vain
All is gone
Whats left is pain

As the time passed him by
Watching humans collapse from pain
Minor to his grace
The man came to the graves
Tombstones of all his loved ones
Standing in his face
Joining them in death
Was a wish for him never to see
For he is the prince of pain

Eternally
